ROBERT A. DEL PERO, M.D.
Dr. Del Pero graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with Highest Honors, and received his medical degree from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Medicine. He completed his Ophthalmology residency training at the University of Chicago School of Medicine where he was Chief Resident. He completed additional years of fellowship training in cataract and lens implant surgery, corneal transplantation, and corneal refractive surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Connecticut. He was a co-investigator in the early development of the excimer laser for refractive surgery, authoring the FDA phase IIB protocols. He performed the first excimer laser refractive surgeries on patients in the United States, and published this work.
Dr Del Pero helped devise the apparatus and some of the techniques now widely used in LASIK corneal surgery. He has published numerous scientific articles and has been a consultant for companies developing new technologies for refractive surgery. |
Dr. Del Pero established a very active private practice in his home town of Yuba City, California, in 1990 where he has performed many thousands of micro-surgeries. His surgical specialty interests are in LASIK with IntraLase/Wavefront refractive surgery, cataract surgery and intra-ocular lens implants, Istent, Corneal Transplants, and cosmetic eyelid surgery.
JACKELYN MEYER, O.D.
Dr. Jackelyn Meyer is a Wisconsin native, she graduated undergrad from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she contributed to stem cell research on inherited retinal conditions. She completed Optometry school at the Illinois College of Optometry. She has since moved all over the country completing her education and completed a residency in Ocular Disease with a Low Vision emphasis at the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio Texas. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She has a special interest in patients 0-100+, loves managing disease, contact lenses, and double vision.
Dr. Meyer looks forward to serving patients in Yuba City and hopes that her patients leave their exam feeling knowledgeable about their eyes. She encourages patients to ask her questions! Dr. Meyer has a broad range of hobbies but loves spending time outdoors, especially in the mountains. |
